The Kazakh National University of Arts and the French National Film School La Ciné Fabrique — French National Film School have signed a Memorandum of cooperation.

On June 18, the solemn signing of the memorandum took place in the Abai KazNUA Hall. KazNUA Rector Azamat Zheltyrguzov and Nadia Carde, Partnership Officer and Ciné Nomad School Programme Coordinator Project Division — External Relations-La CinéFabrique (France), exchanged Memoranda. During the meeting, issues of developing bilateral relations in the field of culture, educational programs, expanding student exchange opportunities for academic mobility and other events were discussed. KazNUA Rector Azamat Zheltyrguzov launched a new joint student project under the working title «Napoleon». As part of the «Cine Nomad» curriculum, 3-rd year students of the «Directors of Feature Films» KazNUA and students of the La Ciné Fabrique film school will make a short feature film under the working title «Napoleon».

As part of the «Cine Nomad» training program, 3-rd year students of the «Directors of Feature Films» KazNUA and students of the La Ciné Fabrique film school will shoot a short feature film under the working title «Napoleon» in a multicultural film crew in Astana.

The preparatory period will begin on June 18 together with French and Kazakh students. The filming period will take place in Astana and Akmola region and will end on July 05.

The project is being implemented at the Faculty of «Directing, Art Management and Cinematography» of KazNUA.
